UQ Tennis Club Attendees at the Sports Awards Dinner: Liam, William, Gabby, Bec, Beryl and Andrew

The UQ Sport Club & Sports Awards were held on Tuesday night, 15 April, at Hillstone St Lucia. This was an event to celebrate outstanding sporting achievements, club commitment and a way to show appreciation to all those involved in running UQ sporting clubs.

Although unsuccessful this year, the UQ Tennis Club had nominations for Volunteer of the Year (Ethan Gunn), the Hulbert Bursary and the President’s Cup.

The 2025 award winners were:

Sportswoman of the Year  -  Lakeisha Patterson (Swimming)

Sportsman of the Year  -  Lachlan Kennedy

G.R. Hulbert Bursary  -  UQ Boxing Club

President’s Cup  -  UQ Cricket Club

Club Administrator of the Year  -  Paris Hooper (UQ Basketball Club)

Club Coach of the Year  -  Renee Murphy (UQ Touch Football Assoc,)

Club Volunteer of the Year  -  Joshua Bickle (UQ Football Club)

Club All-Rounder of the Year  -  Peta Cridland (UQ Cheer & Dance Club)
