Special General Meeting

The University of Queensland Tennis Club Inc. (UQ Tennis Club) will be holding a Special General Meeting to amend the Club’s Constitution on Sunday, 28 September, at 6 p.m., following the completion of unday Afternoon Social Tennis.

The meeting will be held in the Tennis Pavilion, Blair Drive, The University of Queensland St Lucia Campus.

The main changes are to:
Reduce the size of the Management Committee
Change the financial year from the calendar year (January to December) to the 12-month period from 1 July to 30 June in the following year
Have just an Annual General Meeting (for financial reporting & elections) instead of two general meetings (an Annual General Meeting and an Elections General Meeting)
Adopt grievance provisions that are now mandatory under the Associations Incorporation Act
