December Singles Challenge Results

33 players competed on Saturday morning, 7 December, in the UQ Tennis Club’s December Singles Challenge.
This was a new-format UTR-tiered event with the 35 entrants divided into 7 round-robin groups of 5 on the basis of their UTRs. Everybody got a great morning of competitive Tennis with the players fairly evenly matched in all the groups. The event was slightly marred by there being two no-shows. All group winners received a $50 gift card.
The Group winners were:
Group A (UTR 8.1 to UTR 6.1) - Eli Page
Group B (UTR 6.1 to UTR 5.5) - Joshua Russo
Group C (UTR 5.5 to UTR 5.0) - Simon Absolon
Group D (UTR 5.0 to UTR 4.3) - Liam Tincknell
Group E (UTR 4.3 to UTR 3.5) - Yiwei Zhao
Group F (UTR 3.5 to UTR 2.0) - Peter Lawrence
Group G (UTR 3.0 to UTR 1.5) - Emma Wallace
