2026 Fastennis Singles Daytime Tournament

NOTE: ENTRIES CLOSED.  Entries have been closed early as the 32 maximum entries have been received.  Players can register via admin@uqtc.org.au to go on the standby list in case there are any withdrawals.

A tournament not to be missed is the Club’s Fastennis Singles Challenge Tournament which will be played on Sunday morning, 26 April.

Players are eligible to enter if they have a Tennis Australia Competitive Player Profile and, if a junior, are 13 years of age in 2026 (i.e. born 2013 or earlier). Players under 13 years of age are not eligible to enter unless approved by the Tournament Director.

Member Discount:  The entry fee is $40 for UQ Tennis Club members or $50 for non-members. Players who are not members of the UQ Tennis Club must pay the Non-Member Extra Entry Fee of $10 (listed under Extra Items) in addition to the Event Entry Fee of $40.

This tournament will be played using the Fastennis format.  In Fastennis, a set is won by the player who first wins 21 points (as in the old table tennis scoring system).

Entries close on Sunday, 19 April.

N.B. As the draw for this tournament will be limited to 32 players, entries may be closed early.

As everybody goes into a single draw initially, players do not need to know their player rating or Fixtures grade to enter this tournament.  Continuous consolation draws will be used to keep everybody playing throughout the morning even when they lose.

Lodge entries on-line via the Tennis Australia Tournaments Website here

Note: When players go to enter on-line, they are asked to log-in using their Tennis Australia Competitive Player Profile log-in.  Players can check if they have a Tennis ID & Competitive Player Profile or they can create a Competitive Player Profile & Tennis ID & UTR link by going to:
